Professor, Molecular Virology and Immunology
Please join the IIGB and CEPCEB community in congratulating Professor Shou-Wei Ding, the awardee of the 2020 Noel Keen award! This is the most prestigious award from the American Phytopathological Society (APS) for contributions to Molecular Plant Pathology, and the first time that the honor is bestowed upon a UCR faculty. This is indeed a well-deserved distinction and a great achievement with a notable impact on the plant research reputation at UCR.
This award recognizes APS members for outstanding contributions and demonstrated sustained excellence and leadership in research that significantly advances the understanding of molecular plant pathology. Professor Ding’s research focuses on the host immune responses to RNA viruses and viral counter-defense strategies. He will receive this award at the APS annual meeting.
